Support: Hex (NO) and Ever Since (CH)

The Untouchables Hard Rock Club, Jevnaker (NO)
After returning from Copenhagen the day after we saw Steel Panther at Amager Bio, we were ready to see Beastö Blancö at The Untouchables Hard Rock Club in Jevnaker - well, almost. You see, we arrived at the airport in the afternoon, about two hours after the last bus to Jevnaker left. We were basically stranded. Luckily, we actually arrived at the airport at the same time as the band and their entourage, so we were lucky enough to get a lift with one of the people in charge of the rock club! Splendid!
When we got there, we were escorted up to the second floor where we waited to do the interview with Chris and Jan, which can be read here.
The first support band, Hex, went on stage around half past nine, and there were a good bunch of people there. Lots of people sitting at the bar, and lots of people on the floor enjoying the show. Ingrid and I mostly sat in the back of the venue watching the show. Later on, Ever Since from Switzerland took the stage. They played some screamo/growling metal kind of business. Chris from Beastö Blancö joined Ever Since on stage for their last song and sang along with their vocalist. All of a sudden, Tim [Husung] from BB jumped up on stage with his pants half way down to his knees and mooned everybody! After that, he grabbed Hex's fake skeleton and danced with it for a while before leaving the stage. Always fun with some last-show-of-the-tour shenanigans!
Beastö Blancö started out their show with "Il Nostro Spirito" being played over the monitors. A great song to get the Beastö-feeling in you and pump you up for the ride you are about to attend. As a powerful "hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!" fills the room, the band hits the stage. With their own theme song, Beasto Blanco, they kick it off at 100% from the first strum. A signature in almost all of their songs is a classic call and response kind of thing, with Beasto Blanco being no exception. Chuck shouts "let me hear it!", and the crowd goes "BEASTO BLANCO!". Beastö Blancö is here to melt your face off! The full setlist can be seen below:
- Il Nostro Spirito
- Beasto Blanco
- Live Fast Die Loud
- Vegas Baby Vegas
- Death Dealer
- Motor Queen
- No More Man
- Beg To Differ
- Who Do You Think We Are (Alice Cooper cover)
- School's Out (Alice Cooper cover)
Needless to say, I was very pleased with the whole show. Everyone in the band are great performers with a lot of experience from different places and bands, so even though Beastö Blancö is a new band in the business, they are just as experienced as any other stadium-filling band. If you ever have the chance to see Beastö Blancö live, do it - you won't regret it! Chris Latham told us in the interview we did that they hope to do some touring in the US this year, so look out!
